I realize it may not look like much progress to most of you, but to me, it's HUGE! I will probably get in trouble from the hubby since I took apart the bed myself (it wasn't really that heavy), but it's worth it. I was in the mood for some nesting this afternoon. Instead of napping when Mallory napped, I got busy in Morgan's room!
I almost hate to do it since it will probably freak me out, but here is a list (in no particular order)of what we have left to do before Thanksgiving:
*Paint the room! Right now, I'm thinking the yellow on the far left.
*Find a changing table/armoire/dresser combination...a trip to IKEA is in the making.
*Make her bedding! I have the fabric, it's just a matter of sitting down and spending the time to do it. The real booger is going to be the shade for the arch window. I'm pretty much dreading doing that, but will hopefully be happy when it's over. If it costs less than $750 (the ridiculous quote I got from Home Depot for a faux wood covering) and keeps the light out, I don't care what it looks like!!
*Get all of Mallory's baby clothes and "baby supplies" down from the attic and go through them to figure out if any of them will work for a December baby.
*Christmas shopping! I have only bought one gift so far...I have a ways to go.
I think that is enough, although I'm sure there is more that I am blocking out of my head right now. Less than 8 weeks to go. My mom wasn't funny yesterday when she said she thought Morgan would come early...not funny at all!

In case you were asking for my opinion (I'm your sister, so I can offer unsolicited advice...ha-ha!). I like both of the yellows, but I think I may like #2 a tad more. Either would work great. And #3 and #4 would be really good accent colors.
I'll happily go along with you to IKEA when I'm in town. :) Go ahead and start a detailed list of all of the little things to do. When I'm there, we'll figure out what I can tackle for you. Should be fun!
PS: That cracks me up that each paint sample is a perfectly unified square with the sample strips evenly placed above. So you!
I can't believe it is just 8 weeks and you will be a mom of 2. That is crazy. Not that I see you often, but it still seems like it went by so fast. I can't wait to meet Morgan though. I will be praying that everything on your list gets done, at least all the important stuff. (well it sounds like it is all important)
You can do it! I have faith in you! I like all the colors you picked out! Wish we could've made the drive this weekend for the games, maybe next time!
I agree with your sister - #2 is my favorite (just in case you wanted to know). And I feel your pain, I'm not even a little bit ready for this baby and Christmas!
I haven't seen the fabric, so I really don't know anything at all, but I like Yellow #2 just a bit more too. Of course, you can see the true shade and we're looking on a computer moniter. Oh my, Christmas shopping! I've got to do that right now! Or maybe I should try the week Audrey comes. I'm thinking I'll take that whole week off. Too close? Probably. Have fun sewing! I am soooo impressed!
I like #2, too. :) Wow - you sew. I look forward to seeing the finished product! I'm impressed!
