Kelly, you can start laughing now. So, last week I kind of got freaked out, but after talking to Brad and a couple of friends about it, I've decided to go public again. I was informed about a little setting to control search engines, and turned it off. So, all of that to say, I'm back and I'm public!! Brad will be relieved. Last week he said, and I quote, "Does this mean I have to sign in every time I want to see your blog? I don't have time for that." You're welcome.
***Edited to add: I don't know if it completely takes care of the creepies out there, but here's how to change your settings (apparently I'm not the only one who didn't already know about it!!). Go to your settings page after you sign in. Scroll down to "Let search engines find your blog?". Switch it to "off". That way, creepies can't "crawl" your blog. Not exactly sure what that term means, but it sounds bad!!

Oh man. I was wondering. I was about to send you an email trying to find out why you went private and didn't invite me!?!? Ha! Ha! Am I one of the creapy people you are trying to keep out? :) I'm pretty sure I change my mind a thousand times a day like that. Women just overthink things, and I can hardly get Chad to think about ANYTHING!!! Men! Women!

k- i didn't know it... but i already had mine set that way. After your blog that you were thinking about going private... i googled me and steve all over the place and couldn't find our blog info or anything about it... anywhere! So... for me, i feel safe with it like this. I know I don't have kids like a lot of you, so that might bring another level of fear... don't know. but, thanks for sharing how to do it!
You're so cute....I like not having to sign on too, but I just go to my blog first (to sign in) and then on to yours....still - welcome back.

I did that same thing a while back. Instead of going private. It helps with people who google your name too!
