...I'm a girl! And, I've had children!
Last weekend, my dad came and picked me, the girls and our dog up to take us to their house while Brad was away at our church's men's retreat (wow, that was a long sentence). Anyway. We loaded up the car, and were literally about to drive back home yesterday, when I saw an old friend (her parents live 2 houses down from my parents, small world). I knew that she had 2 kiddos and as she was walking toward me, it really looked like she was expecting again. Not just the "first trimester showing". I guess it must have been the shirt she was wearing, or my contacts needed to be changed out...because the first thing I said to her (after hello) is, "You're pregnant again!" She promptly replied with "No, I'm not!" Luckily, this girl has a great (and in your face, in a good way) attitude. I think I apologized 1,000 times before I hugged her and went back home...completely embarrassed.
For now on, unless I've seen the ultrasound picture I will let the expecting momma share the news before I suspect anything.
I am so mad at myself.

OOPS!! THAT IS ONE OF MY WORST FEARS!!!
oh my gosh Shannon, that is so funny. Dad didn't tell me. I imagine you were bright red faced all the way to Temple. I'm glad you got to see her though.
We had a wonderful time with you and the girls last weekend. Can't wait to do it again!!
Love You,
Mimi
Big oops! I've been asked tons of times if I were pregnant when I wasn't. It's not a big deal to me, but I always wondered why they thought that because I knew I wasn't bigger than usual. People actually would say it was because I was glowing - yeah right!
Yeah, happens to me all the time! Ha!

Shannon, Shannon, Shannon!
It is so hard to tell with some of these shirts that are out there now. Just think how Angelina Jolie must feel if in fact she isn't pregnant.....with twins? Ha! ha! You're awesome Shannon, don't sweat it!
don't worry about it! I am sure if she knows you well she knows you are true and geniune...and didn't mean it negatively! I thought of you while I was sitting at Shotwell in the 16 degree weather last week!!! Are you sure you don't miss high school soccer????
That is one of my biggest fears also!!!!
Oh girl, I have that fear too!! One time, I was with a friend at lunch. My friend proceeded over to a very pregnant stranger and asked when her twins were due. I almost died right there!! I thought, "I cannot believe that you just asked about TWINS to a stranger you have not spoken one word to!" Thankfully, though, the woman was indeed pregnant with twins. Whew, my friend got lucky.
