Worn out!

We had a super fun family weekend...until around midnight Sunday morning. Here's what we did this weekend:

*A garage sale! We finally had the garage sale that we planned on having back in December before Morgan was born. We only made $25 (we just gave most of it away instead of pricing every single thing), but it was worth it to get our garage back!

*I planted flowers to put by the front door. Hopefully they will survive. I'm definitely not known for my green thumb!

*We pulled out the shrubs in front of the house. I have wanted to do this since we moved in (almost 2 years ago).

*Brad and I cleaned the garage...together...without too much bickering! We have always said that we could never be on the Amazing Race or any "couples" show like that. We love each other, but don't work very well as a team!!

And, here is when our weekend turned the corner...

Mallory had a runny nose/fever on Wednesday. It wore me out trying to keep them away from each other. Mallory is really into "reading" Morgan a book (more like shoving a book in her face saying "LOOK! Morgan!") and giving her toys. She is also really into touching her face, giving kisses and hugs. I felt bad, but kept telling her no every time she tried to get close to her. So, I thought it was just inevitable that Morgan would get it too. I was right! Around midnight, Morgan woke up (which isn't out of the norm unfortunately) with a fever of 99.6. She wouldn't sleep in her bed, so we brought her in bed with us. I know, I know. It's a bad habit. We kept telling her #1 not to get used to it and #2 don't tell Mallory (she has never slept in our bed before)! Anyway. She had fever off and on all day Sunday and last night would not sleep more than 30 minutes in her bed. So, I had a "restful" night sleep in the recliner holding Morgan. Mallory did this when she was around 7 months old. It was an ear infection. So, off to the doctor for both of them tonight. Mallory has a cough and her fever came back again today. Lovely!! I have prepared myself that every time one of them gets sick, the other one will too. We'll just add that to the list of things they will share over their lifetime!
Since I can't end a blog without a picture...enjoy! This was a couple of weeks ago when Morgan was doing some Tummy Time. Mallory thought she should practice too! Check out that huge noggin with a cul-de-sac! I'm allowed to say that...I'm her mother:)

Ugh! Sorry for the sickness! I know that's tough. I cannot believe you guys have been there for 2 years. I was shocked when I read that. Good for you on the garage sale and garage cleanout. You guys are awesome! We did the whole gargage sale thing before we moved, but I was surprised how much stuff we ended up getting rid of after we moved in. Wish we would have known what we didn't want before the move. Hassle to go find big dumpsters to unload in. Ha! Hope the girls get to feeling better.

I hate that the kids have to share their sickness. The same thing happens over here.

Someday soon I too hope to have my garage back. Between projects I have not been able to park in the garage for over a year. I thought for sure that with a 2 car garage I would have a place to park...wrong...more junk...

Hope the girls are feeling better.

Sorry about the sickness. As far as Morgan's cutie head, at least you can save $ on fewer haircuts for awhile. :)
