Dang it.

I "spoke" too soon. Mallory woke up at 1:15am! We let her cry for 40 minutes. 40 minutes people! That is a long time! She is stubborn with a capital S. So, I put her paci back in and re-swaddled her. Now it was 1:55 and she falls asleep...for 20 minutes. She's up again at 2:18am. This time she cries for 30 minutes and her little cry is getting hoarser (is that a word?) by the minute. I give in and swaddle her/give her the paci. She is out until 6:30am that time. What is the deal? I knew I should have waited a full week before blogging about her sleeping habits...bummer.

I'm so sorry! Whenever I feel like I get something down, Noelle does something to mess it all up, too! :-) Maybe last night will just be a fluke. I'll cross my fingers!

I'm glad to hear that your nursery experience was good. I thought that I would be really sad to put Noelle in the nursery...but after the last couple of weeks at church, I think I will be excited when that day comes. (I'm planning to write more about that on our blog later...)

Tell Brad congrats for us! Miss you guys!

Hang in there!!! Maybe it was "National Keep Your Parents Up All Night" night. Kaylee woke up at 2:30, which then woke Brooke up, which then made Kaylee cry even louder, which then made them cry in unison, which meant no one was sleeping in our house. Once I got Brooke back down, Kaylee cried again, and then.....anyway, Brooke ended up in the living room and Kaylee in our bed (do not get any ideas:))We finally got a few hours of sleep. Maybe tonight will be better. Sarah is right: just when you think you get stuff somewhat figured out, they throw a kink in things. Oh well, keeps life interesting, I guess.

Hope tonight is better!!!

I don't know if this will make you feel better or worse, but Casen just started sleeping through the night a couple weeks ago, and he is almost 9 months old!! So, I can definitely relate. Don't have a lot of great advice though. A couple times, Casen has cried for an hour and a half or longer. It's painful and exhausting! What we found a couple weeks ago that works well is the Praise Baby CD. Do you have that? It calms him down almost immediately and he goes to sleep within minutes.

Thank you for the support ladies!

Sorry about your night Kara, that is rough.

Hi Wendy! Thanks for the advice. No, it doesn't make me feel better that your little boy just started sleeping through the night:) I'm joking. We selfishly want Mallory to sleep through the night so we can get a good night's sleep, so I guess when she is ready, she will do it. And I will try the CD. Maybe that will be the trick.
